Our extended family! We would like to introduce you to our home’s fantastic staff (and people we are lucky enough to call very special  friends). These individuals are dedicated to making our visits to the island fun and relaxing and they will do the exact same for you and your group.

PETER – PROPERTY MANAGER
Peter oversees the Five Palms Beach House and is committed to making your stay in the home as enjoyable as possible. Peter has been a vital part in making this house a reality even going so far as picking out “the rock” which greets you at the entrance of our driveway (any praises regarding “the rock” will make Peter’s day). Peter is a great source of island information and can assist in picking great fishing spots or when and where to go for fresh fish.

EARLENE – HOUSEKEEPER
Earlene is our amazing housekeeper. We are so truly lucky to have found someone who understands how to clean a home located directly on the beach. Earlene appreciates the needs of large groups and will do everything in her power to allow you to focus on fun, friends and family. Earlene is someone who after cleaning the kitchen will laugh when my 2 year old grandson decides that he wants to make brownies by himself…now THAT is dedication.

HARRY – GARDENER
Harry is our gardener and will appear bright and early raking and cleaning the beach as well as the grounds. Harry, although very quiet, always has a smile and will be happy to assist your group in any possible way. Whether it is to bring the kayaks down to the beach, assisting in setting up the volleyball net or helping you with the Hobie Cat, Harry is ready to help.

MS. BARBARA – “THE MOST WONDERFUL WOMAN IN THE BAHAMAS”
Ms. Barbara, as we lovingly refer to her, is Peter’s wife and owner of Barbie’s Place in Tarpum Bay. Ms. Barbara was one of the first people our family met on the island. We immediately fell in love with her amazing food, warm personality and her colorful stories of cooking for the Royal Family. Ms. Barbara oversees both the cooking and the cleaning for the Five Palms Beach House.

BERYL – FIVE PALMS BEACH HOUSE AMAZING COOK
Beryl is Ms. Barbara’s daughter and is a force to be reckoned with. She learned all of her cooking skills from her mother and coordinates and prepares delicious meals for our guests. You do not want to miss at least one evening with Beryl and her cooking. Some of our favorite dinners are Beryl’s assorted fresh seafood dinner (which includes the most unbelieavble fish cakes), Fresh Lobster done on the grill, Mustard Roasted Fish, Truffled Lobster Risotto, Chicken Enchiladas with Red Chile Sauce and her “casual” pizza dinner…..all are out of this world.

VANESSA – THE WORLD’S GREATEST BABYSITTER
Vanessa is Beryl’s Daughter and is a like a second daughter to us. Vanessa routinely watches our grandson during visits and has the wonderful ability to supervise, mediate and control several children at once. Vanessa is a great swimmer, a champion Wii opponent and can play Legos with the best of them! We often hire Vanessa to supervise downstairs while we enjoy an “adult” Beryl dinner upstairs.

MONIQUE – MASSEUSE (YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND)
Monique reminds me of the common phrase “where have you been all my life.” She is absolutely amazing and every time we see her we are deeply saddened about all the massages that we missed before we met her!  She is Bahamian but trained in the State’s on massage therapy.

Each guest that has had a massage by her on the beach, under the tiki hut (while the kids are napping) has raved about Monique in the guest book.  My daughter informs her friends that a Monique massage “is a massage that you will remember on your death bed.”  (I think she might even like Monique’s massage better than Tippy’s lobster pizza!)
